You may have found the book in a hotel room, or maybe someone on the street handed it to you; or perhaps you are currently
being visited by Mormon missionaries who are presenting the book as a modern-day miracle claiming it'll help you to come closer
to God than any other book, including the Bible.
Can such a grand claim be accepted on faith alone, though? Considering the centuries of scholar research the Bible has been
subjected to in order to be accepted as valid, should a book claiming to be an even better spiritual guide be assumed to be true
only on the words of others?

Furthermore, the book and its proponents claim that, if you read it and then pray to know if it is true, you'll feel a confirmation in
your heart. While that sounds intriguing, feelings aren't a a reliable source of knowledge. They are a great source
for emotional experiences, for sure; but knowledge is a different thing. For example, remember being moved to tears during a
song or a touching movie? Wonderful experiences, no doubt. We have all had them, but did they provide any proof that the song
or the movie are about real things?
Of course not. Knowledge comes through a different path, one based on honest research, on following evidence, and on using
reason.
